Oil Filter Recycling

Oil Filter Recycling Plant Description:
The oil filter recycling plant includes shredding, crushing, separation, classification and cleaning equipment. The production capacity reaches up to 800-3000 kg/h with total power of 145-200 KW. The oil filter recycling machine is ideal for handling and recycling scrap metal drums, oil filters, paint buckets, oil drums and other materials used in oil industries. the metal and paper separation rate is 99%.
Ideal for recycling various scrap metal drums, oil filters, paint drums and other metal items within the oil industry. A custom-tailored recycling solution will be provided based on the materials you need to process.

Why do we need to recycle oil filter?
An oil filter is a filter designed to remove contaminants from engine oil, transmission oil, lubricating oil, or hydraulic oil. Oil filters are used in many different types of hydraulic machinery. A chief use of the oil filter is in internal combustion engines in on- and off-road motor vehicles, light aircraft, and various naval vessels. Other vehicle hydraulic systems, such as those in automatic transmissions and power steering, are often equipped with an oil filter. Gas turbine engines, such as those on jet aircraft, also require the use of oil filters. Aside from these uses, oil production, transport, and recycling facilities also employ filters in the manufacturing process.

Oil filter recycling program represents an environmentally responsible practice that demonstrates a proactive approach to diverting toxins such as cadmium, arsenic and lead from landfills. It also eliminates any potential liability of oil contamination being introduced into soil and groundwater sources; providing the customer with ease of mind and allowing them to focus on their day-to-day activities.

Environmentally, recycling oil filters is more beneficial than recycling other more popular materials. Oil filters contain three recyclable constituents; oil, paper and steel. Of these, oil is the most desirable for recycling since it is both a resource and an environmental hazard. Paper from oil-filter elements contains a lot of oil and is therefore also desirable for processing. Steel has moderate value and upon recycling, is a renewable resource.

The process of recycling oil-filters usually involves the following steps:
Collection and transport of filters in drums, totes, bins and other various containment units, to the processing facility
Primary draining and collection of free-running oil
Shredding of filter casings to liberate paper
Separating metal from paper
Extracting of oil from paper
Collecting and marketing waste oil > Refinery
Collecting and marketing paper > High BTU fuel
Collecting and marketing steel > Foundry

Oil Filter Recycling

Used oil filters that are not recycled have the potential to:
Used oil filters that are not recycled pose serious environmental and regulatory risks. When improperly discarded in landfills, they occupy valuable space while their residual oil gradually seeps into the ground. Over time, this oil can contaminate groundwater and drinking water supplies, introducing hazardous substances into the ecosystem. Despite increasing awareness, a significant number of used oil filters continue to be disposed of improperly each year, creating ongoing environmental liabilities for businesses and communities alike.
Proper recycling through specialized equipment not only mitigates these risks but also recovers valuable resources. An oil filter shredder reduces filters to a specific size, enabling efficient separation of metal, paper, and oil components. These shredders are available in various configurations and can also process other solid waste materials such as tires, metals, vehicle scrap, wood, plastics, and general waste.
WANROOETECH has developed a complete oil filter recycling system that streamlines the entire process. During crushing, the large oil filter cover is separated directly from the filter body. The crushed shell, paper element, and cover are then fed into an aluminum-iron separator, which sorts iron from paper, rubber rings, and springs. Once materials are conveyed to a certain stage, complete iron-paper separation is achieved. The oil-soaked filter paper is then pressed in an oil press, with recovered oil collected directly into a container. The filter shell undergoes extended kneading to discharge residual oil, which is collected in a drip pan beneath the shredder and transferred to a container. This integrated process ensures maximum resource recovery with minimal environmental impact. WANROOETECH supplies high-efficiency filter crushers at competitive prices compared with other manufacturers worldwide.

Before and After
Once an oil filter recycling system is finished, Wiscon tests it with various oil filters to show capability and output. Seeing is believing, so you are greatly welcome to present and witness with us on site. If you cannot make it in-person, detailed videos and numerous photos will be prepared for you to exam.
